The purpose of Christian Education at Westminster Presbyterian Church is to form and nurture disciples of Jesus Christ.
Westminster Presbyterian Church seeks to fulfill our shared Baptismal covenants by and through the Holy Spirit, to help young people grow into their baptismal identities as children of God and disciples of Jesus Christ through:
1. Belonging: Westminster Presbyterian Church embraces its young people in love and welcome. Young people are invited to participate actively in our life in worship, learning, and fellowship as may be appropriate for their stage of development.
2. Scripture: Westminster Presbyterian Church introduces and nurtures young people in their identities as people of God's covenant, a people with an ancient history recounted in scripture whose story is still unfolding which we share through storytelling, drama, worship, and the arts.
3. Practices: Westminster Presbyterian Church nurtures young people in their discipleship through the practices of the Christian faith, embracing young people in our shared ministries of prayer, mission, witness, hospitality, caring, and stewardship.
In these ways we seek to form and nurture disciples of Jesus Christ to go out into the world to share his love and live the life of his Kingdom.
