Sharing Our Journey
At the very center of our attempts to use words and deeds is the conviction that our spiritual ideas and our acts of service are part of building up a community. We believe the New Testament’s description of the church as the body of Christ, in which every part of the body is needed in order for the body to be whole. (Read First Corinthians 12 to see the origin of the idea.) We think that everyone has a gift to share, a story to tell, and a place at the table. And we welcome those who are seeking a place to use their gifts, a place to be welcomed and included.
After church, we gather upstairs for "coffee hour" which may include just cookies, or sometimes a full lunch buffet, depending on the inclination of the persons hosting that week. No matter what food is put out, you can expect to find us chatting for an hour or more, catching up on the celebrations and difficulties of the week.
Ladies night out
The ladies of the church gather for dinner and conversation on the 3rd Thursday of the month. Come and join us!
First thursday Gathering
On the first Thursday of each month the church gathers for a meal at 6:30 p.m., followed by a program, which may be a speaker, or a mission project, or something fun we can do together.
Coffee, Tea & Chatter
This is a new women's group that meets once a month at 10 a.m. in members' homes to chat informally about what is on our minds and hearts. The hosts provide drinks and something like coffee cake or bagels.
