You're invited to a Labyrinth Day on Saturday, September 24th, 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Come spend time with our church community while learning about the use of the labyrinth as a form of prayer. Come at 10 to walk the outdoor labyrinth, or come at 11 for a classroom discussion using our table labyrinths.
10 am : Labyrinth Walking
11 am : Labyrinth Talking
followed by a light lunch / social hour
Outdoor labyrinth experience at 10:00 a.m.
Come walk among native grasses, wildflowers, dragonflies, and butterflies.
Experience one of three guided meditations, or walk the labyrinth at your own pace.
We recommend long pants and shoes with socks, because of insects and burrs/seed pods. The path is mowed, but the ground is uneven in places. Insect repellent will be available. Learn more about our labyrinth here.
Indoor labyrinth experience at 11:00 a.m.
We will meet in the downstairs classroom adjacent to the parking lot. Come try our table labyrinths; make your own paper labyrinth to take home; and join a discussion about the role of the body in prayer.
A pleasant social event for our church community
A light lunch will be served following the indoor discussion group. Please bring friends to any part of this day -- this should be a low-key way for people to visit Westminster. Children are welcome; if the weather holds during lunch, the children will be invited to make a chalk labyrinth in a closed-off section of the parking lot.
Note: The outdoor labyrinth walking will be cancelled in the case of heavy rain or thunderstorms. The indoor portion of the event will be held rain or shine.
